Does my doctor need to write anything special on the written prescription that I send in?
Yes. Canadian law requires that the following information be printed clearly on each prescription form: Patient's full name Patient's complete address (street, city, state, and zip code) Patient's phone number, with area code If a particular medicine works well for you, you also may want your doctor to order a 3-month supply, which is often the best value. Check the List of Medicines to be sure the quantity you need for 3 months is available.

I received my order and the name of the medicine on the bottle isn't what I ordered. Why?
Prescription medicines sometimes have different names when packaged for sale in different countries. To be sure you received the correct medicine, you can: Look on the informational material that came with your prescription. It will usually reference both the Canadian and US name of the medicine. On my medicine summary page, there's only a price for my medicine for one pharmacy. Why isn't there a price for the other pharmacy?
Pharmacies do not always sell the same medicines. If a price doesn't appear for one of the pharmacies, it is because the medicine you want is not available from that pharmacy.

Will more Canadian pharmacies be added to Minnesota's RxConnect site?
Minnesota will periodically review the pharmacies already listed on the site, as well as other pharmacies interested in participating, and may add additional pharmacies if there is a benefit to  consumers. State officials would first evaluate any new Canadian pharmacies to make sure they meet certain standards and are able to meet additional demand.
